Grassley 'tweets' for you

Washington (CNN)-Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, has a case of the "Twitter" but don't worry its curable-at least that's what he's saying in his new TV ad.

In his new ad Grassley wants you to know he works for you and that he'll 'tweet' for you.

The ad features two older women talking about Grassley's Twitter account as if it were a diagnosis and not a trendy social media profile.

One lady even asks if his Twitter can be "cured."

Grassley, 76, has hopped on the social media bandwagon by encouraging voters to use Twitter and Facebook.

He joins the ranks of other senators like Sens. John McCain, Scott Brown, Jim DeMint, and Al Franken – who are frequent "tweeters."

Grassley said it's his way of keeping in touch with his constituents while visiting 99 counties around the state of Iowa during the year, according to the ad.

"I'll tweet. I'll text. I'll work for you," said Grassley in his new ad.

This is the second round of state-wide ads to air from Grassley's campaign according to Grassley spokesman Eric Woolson.

Grassley is running for his fifth term in the Senate and will face Democratic challenger Roxanne Conlin in November.
